I learn things by needing them first. Almost everything on this site
started as a problem I had no idea how to solve.

Ghostpin came first. A desktop iOS location simulator I wrote in high
school because testing GPS features by walking around was absurd. About
three hundred other developers turned out to have the same complaint.

Around the same time I joined the electrical team for Okemos Solar
Racing, writing the CAN telemetry for a car that won its division in
2023. I later became electrical lead for the 2025-26 season. Vehicle
electronics are unforgiving in a way software is not: a connector works
on the bench and fails in the sun, and you find out with a clock
running.

The DJ controller is the clearest version of the pattern. I wanted a
deck, would not pay for one, and decided that meant I should build it.
Three revisions later I can design a PCB and have spent roughly three
times the price of the deck.

Running alongside all of it since 2024 is ET Service, where I design and
build websites for local businesses. It taught me the part no personal
project can: somebody else decides when the thing is finished. Getting
the first client was harder than building the first site.

Rulix takes most of my time now, with my cofounder Pranav Gollu. It is a
copilot for export-control work: it researches classifications, shows
the regulatory support behind every claim, and produces something a
reviewer can actually audit. The human still makes the call, which is
the entire point.

Away from all of it I run, ski, DJ, and play viola and piano. The common
thread is that I can tell whether I am getting better, and I lose
interest quickly when I cannot.
