Custom DJ deck
A hand-built DJ controller that turned an attempt to save money into a PCB-design education.
My role: PCB design, electronics, assembly, firmware

The problem
I wanted a DJ deck, but every decent option felt too expensive. Building one seemed like the sensible answer at the time.
What I built
I taught myself PCB design, soldered and wired the hardware, wrote the code, and built three versions of the controller. It is still a work in progress.
What I learned
The cheaper route ended up costing roughly three times more. It also taught me more than buying a finished deck ever would have.
What’s next
Keep developing the controller, show all three revisions side by side, and record a working performance clip.
