The problem
A race car needs more than moving parts. The team needed reliable electrical systems and a way to see what the vehicle was doing during testing and competition.
What I built
I built CAN telemetry and contributed electrical work as part of the electrical team when our car placed first in the 2023 Solar Car Challenge Classic Division. The system connected sensors and controllers through the CAN bus to ESP32-based display or logging.
What I learned
Vehicle electronics make every weak assumption physical: connectors loosen, signals get noisy, and test-day debugging has a clock running.

Add the exact system diagram, a test-day failure story, and more telemetry photographs.
